With a funding commitment of $600 million, the Bloomberg Initiative to Reduce Tobacco Use represents the largest-ever effort to fight tobacco in the low- and middle-income countries that are now home to a majority of the world's smokers. This site offers free instructional training for policy makers, researchers, educators and the general public. We help participants develop and implement effective tobacco control programs, advocate for substantial anti-smoking regulations and craft media campaigns that make a difference. Our multimedia educational modules feature tobacco control experts from around the world. The curriculum was developed by faculty at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, the premier source for research and policy guidance on how to stem the global epidemic of tobacco-related cancer deaths. ** Please note: You must launch this training at globaltobaccocontrol.org. To take this course in Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, or Vietnamese, please change the language in the top left corner of the new training page.
